Siad’s lawyer, Menya Arab-Tigrine, claims he died of a heart attack, suggesting the “unbearable waiting, the stigma” and “daily pressure and anxiety” contributed to his death. She maintains he was never prosecuted or formally implicated in legal proceedings, asserting his innocence. Investigators had previously examined Siad, but found insufficient evidence for an immediate arrest, she added.
