merlows.com (“the Site”, “Merlows”, “we”, “us”) is run by Dominic Merlow, trading as Merlows. Address: PO Box 5543, High Street, London, W1A. Email: info@merlows.com.
By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Merlows publishes news, analysis and commentary about Israel, Iran, the Abraham Accords and wider Middle East diplomacy, together with a section on British wartime resilience (BlitzSpirit). Content is for general information. It is not legal, financial, investment, security or professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such.
Scenario analysis. Pieces in the Cyrus Accord section explore a proposed framework. They are marked as scenario analysis. They describe what is proposed or imagined, not an agreement that exists today. See What is the Cyrus Accord?
We aim to be accurate, but news changes and mistakes happen. If you spot an error, email us and we will review it.
The Site includes an AI assistant (“Ask AI”). Its answers are generated automatically, may be incomplete or wrong, and are not reviewed by a person before you see them. Do not rely on them for decisions that matter, and check anything important against a reliable source. Do not enter personal or confidential information (see the Privacy Policy).
If you create an account you agree to give accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is being misused.
If you register as a Writer, or send us material to publish, you confirm that it is your own work or that you have the right to supply it, that it is not defamatory, unlawful or in breach of anyone else’s rights, and that you have disclosed any interest that a reader would reasonably want to know about. You keep ownership of your work and give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, edit, and promote it on the Site and our social channels. We decide what is published and may edit, remove or decline anything.
You agree not to:
The Site’s text, images, graphics, logos and design belong to Merlows or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other rights. You may read the Site, and share links to it. You may quote short extracts for criticism, review or reporting with clear credit and a link back to the article. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use needs our written permission.
The Site links to other websites and cites outside sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
The shop is not open yet. When it opens, orders will be subject to separate terms of sale, which will include your rights under UK consumer law, shown before you buy.
We try to keep the Site available but do not promise it will always be, or be free of errors. We may change or withdraw any part of it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, for loss of profit, business or data, or for any decision you make by relying on content on the Site, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the Site is limited to £100. If you use the Site as a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the Site after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
